New Year’s Message
Happy New Year for 2019 from the staff at PBA! I trust that Christmas and New Year’s celebrations were a blessing to all of you. My prayer is that the celebration of Jesus’ birth renewed the joy and excitement of His presence in your lives and that 2019 draws you closer to Him.
At our Executive Board meeting on Monday, January 14, I plan to share some highlights from our Annual Report as an Association. A more complete report will be distributed in the Weekly Update and published on our website. I hope that you can join us to celebrate the ways that our cooperative relationships have benefited churches in 2018.
If you have not completed an Annual Church Profile for the past year, we are still receiving that information and I encourage you to share with us at least the minimum data regarding attendance, baptism and ministries in which your church is involved. This gives us a clearer picture of the health of our network and helps us to plan better ways to resource churches. We are in the process of gathering data about our county, and having accurate data from churches will help us to plan for the future.
Speaking of the future, at the end of 2019 I hope that we can look back to observe how the imprint of God’s Kingdom has grown and how God’s glory can be seen through the ministry of our churches. My prayer for 2019 is that our ministry will result in:
- more churches having a clearer picture of where God is taking them in the future;
- more church leaders experiencing clarity and fulfillment in their calling,
- more church members growing as disciples effectively serving the Kingdom, and
- more churches networking together to share ideas, resources and passion for ministry.
Our office exists to be a catalyst for our network, using the power of cooperation to help churches that help people know how to see and follow Jesus. Contact us if we can help you explore your next steps.
